the hot spot is a small crag located off the mt. battie carriage trail. as known by thed locals as the wet spot, because the seeping late in to the summer.
Getting There
park on the side of route 52 at the Mt. Battie carriage trail, follow the trail up toward the table lands to u reach the rampart, u can take the trail to base of rampart, then continue up across the flats working ur way slowly right to the base of the boulder field. Or u can continue up the carriage trail 1/4 long until u cross a small brook. turn left an d follow faint trail to boulder field. work ur way up break near right side of cliff. routes from right to left.
