Featured Route For Main Wall
I totally stole this photo from the main Mission Gorge page. The "Wasp". Epperson shooting Allenby 1986 photo Ron Amick.

The Wasp 5.11b 6c 23 VIII- 23 E3 5c  CA : San Diego County : ... : Main Wall
Powerful moves low down make up the crux of this route. The Wasp has a lot of variety from slick slab to layback to finger crack to roof crack. A lot of stances break up the hard moves making it not too pumpy but the crux moves require power and good technique. It's also good clean aid practice....[more]   Browse More Classics in CA

CONDITION REPORT

One of the two hooks/carabiners atop Crack of Dust is pretty worn through--about 50% due to rope grooving. I don't know at what point it should be replaced, but please try not to TR off fixed hardware. Using two quickdraws is nearly as fast and will make the anchor last longer.

In fact, I don't really understand the hooks being there anyway...usually more of a sport climbing thing and seems pretty unique for MG.
