The top of the tufa on Magma

Climb up a single tufa to easier and slabier climbing above - the book states this route is worth the trip to Telendos alone. It is.

about 40' to the right of the cave.

My partner and I thought we'd do a casual cool down on this climb. Being inexperienced in the techniques of tufa climbing, we proceeded to be humbled. Regardless, don't miss this one, the guide doesn't lie. A good intro to climbing a single tufa, I suppose. This excellent route requires balance and thoughtful foot work. Even when the tufa ends and it slabs out on sharp rock at the top, the moves remain engaging.
