Mad rock women's shoes/velcro? bouldering/outdoor

Has anyone tried the Mad Rock Lycra or Lotus shoes (or shark)? For the life of me, I can't find any reviews and no shops carry Mad Rock in my area (Austin).

I won a free pair from a comp, but I've never used Mad Rock OR velcro shoes before; I only started climbing 4 months ago (5-6 times a week indoor bouldering). I'd like to start lead climbing outside as well as continue bouldering indoor...

I've been using the Tarantulace size 5 (street shoes 6-7), super comfy, but they wore away (toe hole) in 2 months. Any advice on Mad Rock, velcro shoes, men's versus women's shoes, or preventing wear/tear? I'm a Noob with so many questions!
