The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Easily visible from afar, the distinctively slabby south and west faces of the Lox Boulder stand out in contrast to the steeper east side where a handful of good problems exist. An easy descent exists on the short northern side.
