The Lower East Side slab. Two bolted routes climb ...
The Lower East Side is a small seldom visited wall, below and north of the east face of The Chicken/Hyperion Slab. This wall is about 50 feet high and faces the northeast and is easily seen below and to the north (right) of the approach trail as one nears The Chicken. The wall is steep, but less than vertical and features numerous cobbles and inclusions, but lacks the abundant pockets found elsewhere at Texas Canyon. The wall contains two bolted routes that were formerly TRs.
After descending the trail and nearing the east face of The Chicken (Hyperion Slab) look down to the right for this short wall. Continue hiking downward, to the north, as you skirt the right side of The Chicken, look up and left to see the wall.
