Just another sweet Sedona splitter. Photo by D. B...

Description

The cliffs directly above The Planetarium. Some nice trad lines and a couple sport routes also. Stays sunny in the afternoon.

Getting There

Park at the Mystic trailhead on Chapel Road. Approach as for the Planetarium, but stay on the trail a little past the Planetarium turn-off until you reach an obvious wash. Turn right (roughly west) and hike/slog up the steep drainage to gain the cliffs directly above The Planetarium.

Tim climbing Scallop, a crack climb with 2 bolts in between Typhoon and Reef Shark on the Lower Beach area.

Anyone know what the corner crack on the right most side of the lower beach goes at? The one that is 2 pitches. Super good climb, wondering why its not posted on here.

Hey Erock, that line is called Bottom Feeder 5.10+, 3 Pitches. I've only done the first couple of pitches while John Burcham and James Q Martin were establishing the route. Very fun.

Very cool, I didn't know it was three pitches. Do you know what the third is like?

You know I don't. I think that pitch is 5.10 something though. A true onsight opportunity.
