Due to high winds our rope got stuck at the decent rap station on the Incredible Hulk on Sunday 8/31. We met a party from Colorado who offered to retrieve it if possible and return it to the Bridgeport Ranger station. The rope was a Blue Petzl 9.4 X 70m. Contact me for your reward!

Those winds were absolutely wild on Saturday night and throughout Sunday.

Hope you get your rope back. How was the climb?

The climb was quite fun. We climbed it CTC in a big day with a pre-dawn start. We were the only party on the Hulk though we thought we saw a tent near the base and we saw a party hiking towards the lakes.

The wind slowed us down quite a bit since you had to be careful not to be blown off while leading. Over all it was 16.5 hours Car to Car. We left at 3:30 am, got a bit confused by the river crossing, missed the climbers trail but still made it to base before 8am, summited at 4 pm and were back to mono village by 8pm.

Picked up the rope at the Bridgeport ranger station yesterday (9/6/08). Thanks for freeing it and hiking it out. Too bad about the nasty core shot right in the middle.
