Lost: Helmet and headlamp, Steck-Salathe

My Petzl Sirocco (bright orange, foam-lookin' thing) with attached BD Spot headlamp were last seen as they whizzed by my partner at the P3 belay of Steck-Salathe. I loved all aspects of the helmet except its finicky clasp, and apparently that clasp took revenge by snapping loose as I trailed the helmet through the P5 squeeze.

If you happen to see the helmet and, god love you, carry it out, I would be thrilled to have it back and provide many beers for your trouble!

I hope you sent anyway and didn't need the leadlamp on the way down! Way to get after it...SS and OTL in one trip.

Two different weekends, but, yeah, both fun routes. One is slightly more of an undertaking than the other! There was a Tenaya-matthes thrown in there, too :D

Regarding the lost headlamp, we topped out on the Sentinel just before dusk and picked our way down with one headlamp. It's not an experience I'm dying to repeat, but was completely manageable.

And I feel like crap about the helmet going flying both for environmental reasons and the fact that I liked that thing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
