On Thursday 10/22 my partner and I jugged our fixed lines to Sickle Ledge to commence our snail-paced blast up the wall. We had read that it was standard practice to leave a rope at the base, since it requires three 60m ropes to fix and hauling an extra rope for 3000 feet is not a fun task.
We didn't have the chance to arrange for someone to pick up our rope for us, but the presence of a neatly-coiled rope hanging off a branch nearby led us to believe that leaving the rope was safe and acceptable. Unfortunately it wasn't there or anywhere nearby when we returned from the climb last night (Sunday 10/25).
If anyone picked up a rope between those dates and is willing to return it, we'd be happy to describe the rope and arrange some sort of reward and shipping for its return.
If it's gone for good, we hope it at least goes towards something helpful like maintaining the East Ledges raps.
