Looking for info on the Big South Fork
|
Hey guys, I trying to find some info on the Big South Fork. Trails, routes, direction, ect.. Basically any advice anyone has. Any help would be awesome! |
|
I would really have to dig but I remember seeing a website for climbing at the big south fork somewhere. Also I think I watched a video on Vimeo about it. I was looking for bouldering areas so I didnt pay much attention though. |

outdoorexperienceonline.com… blueridgeoutdoors.com/climb… Google big south fork rock climbing. After you develop the area into a world class destination can I have a honerable mention in the guide book? |

I haven't seen it yet but I believe there's a good bit of info in the newest Dixie Craggers Atlas. That should get you to a fair amount of the developed stuff. In the Gorge proper, the Crack house is pretty good. |

Dixie Cragger's Atlas guide for Tennessee Volume 2. Lots of info. available here: |

Those bros in the outdoor online article are real stewards of the "last great wilderness area in the east". They built a fire on a cliff under an overhang in the national park then left at least three of their Sierra Nevada cans up on the ledges. |

Compared to the previous version of Dixie Cragger's, is there more information in the new version? |
|
Awesome guys thanks for the info. I'll do some digging and some bushwhacking, weathers turning! |

Hi Elizabeth, |
|
Elizabeth, Jeff N can certainly help you out. The newest Dixie Craggers Atlas has lots of new info and there are downloadable topos for the long routes available as pdfs from dixiecragger.com. As far as I know, this is the only real info in print form. |
