Looking for Climbing Partner (Tahoe -- west shore)

Hoping to find a partner in the Tahoe area that will share some more advanced climbing techniques (multipitch sport/trad, anchor construction, alpine climbing, safety/rescue, etc.) I've been climbing now for about 5 years, doing mostly sport, and I can lead 5.10 and follow on 5.11. I've been dabbling in gear placement but hope to really start to become comfortable leading up moderate trad routes. Basically, I've really been itching to take my climbing to the next level but have struggled finding more knowledgeable partners to help with that. I would appreciate any help in accomplishing this goal.

Hey , my name is brad. I just moved up to south lake and looking for some new partners in the area. I've been climbing for about 6 years and three of them trad. I'm not and expert by any means but I can teach you some stuff about trad climbing. I've been wanting to check out Woodford canyon, I hear it's good for winter cragging. Hit me up and we'll do some climbing. 530 510 3108.

Hey Brad,

I'm leaving for the holidays and won't be back until the 1st, but anytime after that (except for the days I'll be working at Alpine Meadows) I'm down. I should have a good deal of free time, I think, so I should be able to go out on a regular basis. I'll talk to you when I get back! You can email me at jmmoore311@gmail.com, or call at 765.623.0482.

Yo Brad,

Do you know how to climb multipitch routes? I have done it a couple times, but I don't think I could go out and safely do it on my own.

How's the climbing there in the winter? I'm going for the holidays, and was looking at the stuff on Lover's Leap, but have no experience in the winter so I kinda trashed the idea. Is there ice and stuff to deal with or does it stay pretty dry?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I do know there's a lot of climbing all around the lake. I hear it's good, though. And, I have heard good things about Lover's Leap. If you can find south-facing walls, it's warm/sunny enough to climb year round. There's a climbing/skiing store in Tahoe City, called Alpenglow, that you could call. They are very knowledgeable about local areas. Hope this helps. When are you planning to go?

Try Sugarloaf, it's usually a better winter bet than the leap. Woodfords is wonderful winter cragging with a year round shitty approach...

I'm good to get out a lot of weekends too, let me know...

I'm going up in the few days after Christmas and will be there for probably the first week in January.
