Looking for a climbing partner / Gorge, Portland

Hey regional forum,

I live outside of Stevenson next to Wind Mountain. Mostly I climb solo, either bouldering or rope soling. Rope soling, given my current comfort level with the system (Grigri + Micro-Ascender + sometimes clipping onto the other strand), isn't very conducive to pushing myself or climbing crags of much much height. I have one climbing partner who is pretty busy usually so I'm looking for other folks. I'm not leading at this point but would like to eventually. (That's a lie, I lead myself on Windy Slab, but with other people not so much.) I'm a good cleaner?

I'm especially proximate to Windy Slab, obviously, Ozone, Beacon Rock, and Horsethief, but I'd go to Broughton or Rocky Butte.

I work in fairview, ide love to find someone to climb broughton with. I usually boulder but have top roped. I just picked up my own harness, 60m rope, belay device, sling, daisy chain etc. no draws though.

I have a couple hours in the AM tomorrow if you want to go do some climbjnv at Ozone. I know it's super late, but if you get this and are interested shoot me a text.

Ah, yeah. A bit late for an Ozone trip. I guess I *do* have some schedule parameters. Morning to mid-day Saturday and Sunday I'm pretty tied to my desk.

Does Ozone have any reasonably beginnery/intermediate routes?

Ryanpohl, you're about where I am. I bouldered for many years, but am getting interested in climbing-climbing. Maybe later this week?

Ozone has lots of routes in the 5.6-5.10 range, both in sport and trad. MP has all the routes listed on it.

I'm going to be in Portland 8th til the 19th of this month. I think I have shoes and harness there but my rack and rope are back in Aus. Also, I have no car =(

Anyway, if anyone from the SE area has gear and is heading out anywhere and needs company, a drinking buddy, crag janitor or a wizard on the belay I'm keen to come check out the local climbing.

I just realised that I have a day off at home before I head off to Portland so I can bring a rack and other gear.
