A lot of us local climbers use meetup.com and join the southern california rock climbers (SCRC) for local cragging. For more technical stuff I would recommend joining the Southern California Mountaineering Association (SCMA) since you get free campsites all year at different places (i.e. tuolumne meadows during labor day) and the SCMA has a lot of trad climbers.
