Have you seen my other half? I am a size 41.5 grey miura and my mate was last seen on top of Bitty Buttress in Boulder Canyon on Sat Aug 17. I now feel somehow incomplete and useless. Please help.

PS - this is not for me, posting on behalf of a high profile individual in the climbing community who wishes to remain anonymous.

PPS - beer, etc, blah blah blah.... Will be given as reward.

You should contact 1 of the 56 other people on here who have lost a shoe , and see if they want to sell their remaining shoe , I'm sure they'd let it go for cheap.

How was Bitty Buttress for that matter? Maybe your shoe didn't want to leave?

Not my shoe, and haven't done the climb.

However, the shoe's owner has not yet been able to get back up there, so it is looking like a good excuse to go climb Bitty Buttress this week - looks like a stellar route!

I did hear a rumor that the shoe was seen fraternizing with a lace-up Katana though..... so we are thinking that it is up to no good. It's going to have some 'splaining to do when it gets home.

There should be an MP database to match up remaining single shoes given the number of losses that get posted up here... Nick Wilder - are you listening?

It is. I highly recommend it. Friends told me there was a "walk off" at the top of the thrid pitch, but I found that extremely sketchy and just led a traverse left and out.

All these shoes are hidden away in the southwest in Lost Shoe Canyon, living a new life in peace with no stinky feet inside of them..they chose this life,,,let them alone.

That's nice of you to protect your "high profile" friend so he/she doesn't have to admit that he/she made a bonehead (human) mistake! Heaven forbid!

Ha! But Nick outed him in the other thread!

Woodchuck - Lost Shoe Canyon sounds idyllic, I am happy there is a place for all of those lonely shoes. My "semi-high profile" friend will be glad to be reunited with his shoe, and promises to wash his feet more often and be more attentive.
