Should all climbs in an area really be the same style or should there be some variety?

Which makes more logical sense?

This question barely makes sense. It sounds like you were trying to stimulate discussion for the sake of discussion by throwing the word 'ethics' in the title. Why does it matter about style variety in an area? I think you need to ask yourself why do I climb?

Hunh?

I'm not sure what you're even asking -- but in general it will vary from area to area. Among other things, I don't think "should" should be applied to either statement.
