Description Suggest change

With wonderful views, a relatively easy .4 mile approach and 2 fun walls with plenty of Vb-V1's, Little Pinnacle offers the beginning boulderer a great place to experience Grayson Highlands. Much of the landing zones below the Little Pinnacle Wall and Massie Gap Overlook Wall are covered with sharp, uneven talus, so please be careful.

Avoid brushing or cleaning anything that isnt already clean. This area has sensitive plantlife. For more avid bouldering, please opt for the LRT below the parking lot.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the Twin Pinnacles Trail .1 mile to the loop junction and kiosk, take the left trail and immediately pass the sign pointing to the Pinnacles. After another .3 miles, you will find yourself on top of Little Pinnacle with incredible views. Right after Little Pinnacle is the Massie Gap Overlook with views out to the AT, Mount Rogers, the Highlands bouldering area and the balds that the wild ponies tend to graze on. This is one of the easiest hikes to one of the best views in the park!
