Lighter weight nuts

I have been climbing for quite some time now, and I enjoy all aspects of climbing, but my heart is set on trad and alpine! I'm wanting to push my limits this year on trad and alpine, but I think I need a new set of nuts.

So the nuts I have were given to me by my father a long time ago. They look like other nuts I've messed with but they are significantly heavier. I'm not sure if it's the way they were created or if it's just that they are made from a more dense material.

I weighed my set of nuts and they are 872 grams, which is almost twice the weight of nuts I've been looking at online. I've had a few people tell me that my nuts are significantly heavier than most, and that they look like they have been abused a little bit.

Another issue is that there isn't much difference in size between my nuts, whereas I've noticed that the nuts in magazines almost always look like there is a significant size difference from nut to nut.

Also my nuts are all one color, but I've seen that some nuts come in multiple colors, is there a reason for that?

Any suggestions?

I can provide pics if you think it would be helpful!

I know a great technique to make your nut set lighter, but it has to be performed at least once a day, sometimes multiple times daily, so it isn't a permanent fix unfortunately.

So it wouldn't cost me anything??? That sounds great!

Lol.

Just go free solo a few trade routes with a nut tool. Pretty soon you'll have a full rack and then some.

You've been looking at nuts online! Haha..

"I wanna ask you one question
If I had some nuts, hangin on the walls, what did I have honey?"
I said, "Darling you'd have some walnuts."
She said, "Well.. daddy if I had some nuts
On my chest, would those be chestnuts?"
I said, "Hell yes!"
She said, "Well daddy if I had nuts under my chin
Would those be chin-nuts?"
I said, "Hell no b**ch you'd have a d*ck in your mouth!"

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
