Hey guys.

I'm a relatively new climber and I'm looking for partners/mentors to help me with the basics at Devil's Lake. I have a fair amount of gear and am looking to do a lot of climbing this summer.

My initial goal is to get lots of anchor building/climbing reps in on the easier climbs before graduating to more difficult climbs.

I'm a 33 y/o guy in Madison with reliable transportation and fair amount gear.

Thanks!
Adam

If you are interested I can take you out to the lake. It would not be until middle June. Look me up on Facebook (Robert Jakubek). I don't post much, but do use it to send messages on when I heading out climbing.

Hey Adam,
I used to live closer to Devil's lake, and climbed with the Chicago Mountaineering Club and the Hoofer Mountaineering Club (based in the UW Madison) pretty regularly. You should definitely check them out. The CMC outings are great, but there aren't too many people looking to do trad. You can camp on their land right near Devil's Lake for pretty cheap during the public outings, which is convenient. The HMC don't have regularly scheduled outings like the CMC, but they are a good group to climb with and are more keen to do trad when they go. I will try to get out to several more of the CMC outings this summer, and am always looking to do some trad climbing. I'm also 33, coincidentally. I'll let you know when I'm planning to be out there.
