No vehicle access, but open to foot traffic MORE INFO >>>
Washington Climbers Coalition's permittee status under the landowner's easement with Washington State DNR has been revoked due to liability concerns and increased traffic. Vehicular access beyond the gate is currently not allowed. Gold Bar is still open to foot traffic. WCC and Access Fund are actively working with the landowner and DNR to find a solution. Stay posted at www.washingtonclimbers.org.
This information is a public crowdsourcing effort between the Access Fund,
and Mountain Project. You should confirm closures, restrictions, and/or related dates.

Protection Pad the pit and surrounding rock. A good spotter is nice on this problem. You end up committing to a horizontal move and risk cratering into the peripheral boulders.
Description Fantastic direct route out of the pit on the crackly cave boulder in the west forest. Start on the obvious ledge/crack and move up to a shallow crimp. Next, reach up to the smooth wedge hold and throw for the lip. Finish with a mantle over the ledge.
Location From the upper west parking area walk east about 20 meters and then straight up into the woods for about 3 minutes. The crackly cave is a smallish boulder just uphill and to the right of the large obelisk boulder.
