Description
Lower angle ice climb right on the main road and is usually in if other routes along the main road are in. Can be thin. Yellow-ish ice (hence the name, eh?).
Location
The next route downhill from Yellow Rapture. Uphill from Bottomless/Topless and past a Jared and Jason thin M4X route known as "Significant Happiness", and past the usually thin "Lime" (which is just left of Lemon by only a few feet and can be belayed from the same stance as Lemon). All the above are on the South side of the main canyon road.
Protection
Selection of screws from 10cm to 17cm usually suffices. The anchor for this route is past the tree (the JS guide mentions "trees" but there is only one for a rappel and its only 2-3" in diameter), above and to the left. Two bolt anchor on the rock prow on the leftside above the ice, to the side of the low angle gully that continues above the main ice on the route (usually snow).
