For those of you dying to get on some beautiful granite, I did some recon in LCC this afternoon. I hiked up to the coffin from the Park and Ride (I was the first one). The Coffin is dry. Then I hiked up to Bongeater buttress. I scrambled over to the bottom of the crack and it was dry, but I couldn't tell if it was dry higher up.

Either way, tomorrow is going to be beautiful and sunny. I'm going to climb the coffin, the viewing, and bongeater. I should be at the park and ride around 11.

I tried to walk over to the base of Mexican Crack and Crack in the woods, but there was over 2 feet of snow on the ground there and things looked kind of wet. Crescent crack may have been alright, though. The Egg looked dry, but I didn't run up to the base of it. I may check it out tomorrow.

Last week the crescent crack area had someone on each of the classics while I was there. Mexican, crescent, coffin, and bongeater were all good. It should be in even better condition after this nice weather we've had the last few days.

Climbing Mt Olympus

Jumped on Bongeater yesterday afternoon and it was still wet at the upper 1/3. We ended up TRing it since the offwidth section was pretty much unclimbable.

Pulling the surprisingly easy roof up top.

The Coffin was dry and awesome, so was Mexi Crack.

Here's a pic to prove it.

Bongeater was dry as of yesterday. Variety delight was a little wet at the top on Saturday and Leggo My Eggo, was a blast.

Anyone have any info about crescent crack?

Just got off crescent. A little wetness here and there. Ice in the squeeze. Nice spot chipped out for your #4. The ramp at end has a lot of snow on it which might be stressful for the second climber. We did final link and avoided it. Slab is totally dry.

'Bred en bawn in a brier-patch, Brer Fox--bred en bawn in a brier-patch!'

Here's a somewhat related question as I am heading to SLC in a month....specifically Lone Peak Cirque.
Should one still expect a great deal of snow in the cirque by then and, if so, how low on the trail should one expect to have to start trudging through it?

The route in it's entirety.

Good luck climbing in Lone Peak the first week of April. Our ski season is still in full swing during that time of the year, and the cirque is roughly 11,000ft.

That said, bring your snowshoes/skis.

I was on perhaps about 3 weeks ago and it was totally soaked and that was when it didn't rain for 2 weeks or so.
I would think about another 3 weeks or so

I climbed Perhaps yesterday and today, along with Green Adjective and Callitwhatyouplease. Some seeping on the 2nd pitch of Perhaps but not bad. Otherwise great.
