Description Suggest change

Laramie Peak is the highest point in the Laramie Range. The Oregon trail users seen this landmark from somewhere in western Nebraska and this range back then was called the Black Hills. This name stuck until gold was discovered in western South Dakota and those hills now bear this name.

Getting There Suggest change

Stay on Bear Gulch Road 671 until you are about due west of the peak's summit and take the Friend Park rd.661 to its end at the Laramie Peak Trail head.
