Hi there, I'm looking for a female climbing partner. I can lead solid 5.8 trad, occasional 5.9s. I can follow 5.11. I have a rack and a rope. I also enjoy sport climbing and bouldering so whatever you're into. Have some experience with multi-pitch and would like to form a strong climbing partnership with someone and continue improving on my skills and knowledge. I love Eldo, Boulder canyon, Lumpy. Enjoy traveling as well. Available after 5 on weekdays, but could manage a little earlier on occasion. Really just looking for a good girlfriend to talk about climbing with and crush some rocks. Let me know if you're interested!

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I'm interested! I have lead a few 5.8's on trad and am looking to lead more trad if possible. I have a rope but no rack. I like to sport climb to and lead up to 10c but can follow 11's. I boulder some but it isn't my favorite style. My schedule is pretty flexible and I can do early evenings and weekends. I don't live full time in Boulder right now - I am here for 3 weeks and will be back again at the end of July/early August for a bit. But, I'm down to climb even if we can't be consistent partners now. Let me know!

I am trying to find more climbing partners as well (have my own rope and rack). I don't really lead trad over 5.7. I would be free some weekend but would love to climb after work. I usually try and take off an hour early or so (3 to 4pm) and climb till 8pm. Well if you Ladies want to climb after work some time let me know maybe we could start with some sport climbing in BC.

Do either of you want to climb tomorrow in Boulder Canyon?

I am also interested in a committed female climbing partner and climbing in Boulder Canyon this weekend. I live in Golden so getting to Boulder wouldn't be too difficult. I lead my first trad route this last weekend in Indian Creek and definitely feel that trad is what I want to focus on. I have a rope and am buying my first cams this weekend!

As for Boulder Canyon, Sunday would probably be better for me.

I'd like to climb this Sunday, Subterranean, if you are still interested. I like many follow harder than I lead (usually up to 10c outdoors). Leading outdoors is pretty heady still so I only lead 5.8 sport and 5.7 trad. I want to do more trad and don't typically get the chance with my regular partner. Have rope, rack and draws.

Hi. I live in California but work in your area for about a week ever month. I'd love to check out some local climb after work when I'm in town. I've mostly been climbing in the gym this past year but before this I've led a few trads up to 5.8 and sports up to 10b outside in the past - mostly in southern california and red rock.

Erika (or anyone else interested) - if you don't mind an occasional out of town partner, I can climb after work on June 21 Thu my next trip out. Or maybe Friday afternoon and I can get a later flight home.

Hi,

I am looking for a female partner also. I have climbed several multi-pitch routes and am solid on 5.7 trad. I do lead some 5.8's on trad and actually accidentally fell while leading V3.(5.8) It being a bit embarrassing was the only injury. I was thinking to myself before I fell. Okay, come on now stop putting pro in every 5 feet you are now clearly off the ground.. then there was the crux and the oh shit this pretty little crack is not really what I thought it was. I feel confident that I could and should go right on up there again and lead that pretty route.. Unfortunate or fortunate as it was my boyfriend wanted to lead it after I fell so I said Okay you're right I accidentally messed up. Following was hilarious when I cranked thru the crack and realized I had tried to place pro in the crux of the climb for fear of going higher and actually placing myself at risk of clunking my skull or ankle on a rock.. I used good judgement in that category and since then have decided a few extra pieces on an unknown route really don't take near as long to deal with than lower down. The first lead fall on trad gear ever that day was exciting and actually super soft. So, in short. I am interested in climbing lead trad up to 5.9-10minus. I can follow lots of routes. I tend to stay in the 5.10 range for single pitches and for longer routes I feel comfortable up to 5.9. I love Lumpy Ridge and ELDO and st. V's canyon- anywhere is good for me. I live in North Boulder I am 39 years old and have been climbing on and off since 1995. I am training for Wind River Range this summer. and would like to climb and talk to you more about developing skills to be a strong climbing partner. Thanks. Tami

Hi Ladies!

I moved to Denver in January and I am still looking for more climbing partners. I have been climbing for about 8 years and I am leading 5.8 trad/5.10 sport right now. I won't be around this weekend, but I do have weekdays free in June. Send me a message if you want to go climbing sometime.

I'm always looking for more lady climbing partners! Would any of you want to just meet up in a group and go to a sport crag to get to know each other? PM me if yes!

Hey there!
I'm also looking for more safe, female partners (especially for after-work weekday sessions in Clear Creek----when it reopens, of course!)I live in Golden. Getting back from a bad back injury, but I'm excited to get strong again. I'd also like to work on trad, my leading limit for that (right now, at least) would probably be 5.7ish but can follow pretty much anything. More of a head thing for me :-) I can lead 11s sport. Shoot me an email if you girls end up meeting up in the future. This weekend might not work for me, but hopefully sometime soon!

I am up for weekday sessions in Clear Creek!

Okay, so I have received a bunch of emails and am trying to figure out how to organize this better. Any suggestions?

For now I will arrange a climbing day next weekend just so we can all meet each other and brainstorm about how to keep this going. I will email everyone who has contacted me as well as post something here on MP.

A meet-up sounds great! Hopefully we can all work something out. It'd be nice to even meet at a gym or an easy crag, just to get comfortable climbing with each other and making sure things are safe. Keep me posted! :-)

I'd love to meet some new chick climbing partners too. I have my own rack, rope, draws, etc. I lead 5.7-5.8 trad, and 5.10 sport, and will follow up to 11's on sport or trad. I have a lot of experience with multi-pitch climbing (spent this past weekend in the Black Canyon!). I'm down to climb sport or trad anytime after work during the week, or on the weekends. Hope to meet some of you soon!

Hi everyone-

So far, the people I have been corresponding with and myself are thinking about meeting early saturday morning (7:30am) at either Canal Zone in CCC or Solaris in boulder canyon. We would climb for 3-4 hours then hit the nearest watering hole to grab a beer. Post your vote on where to climb by Thursday so we can make a plan.

Ah! This is so great! So many responses! Well I'm going to be out of town this weekend for my brother's wedding, but I hope y'all get together and I'd love to meet everyone as well so let's keep the ball rolling and have another get together the following weekend!

Cool sounds fun. My vote is for Solaris.

I am very anti canal zone b/c of this:

Can't most every one on this thread lead 5.10s or easy trad? So why canal zone I thought that was mainly where you went when you maxed out in the 5.9 range.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
