Description Suggest change

More sandstone boulders near the Reservoir! This tightly concentrated boulderfield is a climbers playground. Multitudes of freestanding giants with the majority offering flat, safe landings. Bring a crew and lots of pads. If highball bouldering isn't your favorite, no worries, there are many lower, comfortably high blocks to crawl over as well.

Boulder problems have been established here for 25+ years. Shayne Fields and friends found these blocks and named this awesome location "The Labyrinth". These original developers put up tons of short routes and top roped nearly every tall block in the area. Several great boulder problems have since been established.

Solid, bullet, beautiful sandstone and tall faces! More to come soon.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive only a minute above flag rock to the reservoir.

Once you pass the reservoir, look for the big boulder next to the road on your right (Holy Moly Boulder). You can park here, or higher up if you have an all wheel or four wheel drive vehicle. Walk up the road and look for the huge boulders on the left on the uphill side of the road on the ridgeline. There is a feint trail on the left side of the road when the weeds die down. It may be hard to find in the summer.

ATTENTION:

There is no official parking or pull-off for the Labyrinth Boulders. Please do not try to park on the shoulder if you don't have four wheel drive and DO NOT park in the road. If you get stuck or create huge ruts in the mud, it will cause access issues for everyone else. Just walk up from Holy Moly or the Reservoir.
