I'm about to order a pair of La Sportiva TC Pro's. Unfortunately, the store I work at doesn't carry them.

So, I'm kind of shooting in the dark here on sizing the TC Pros, any of you guys have these shoes? What amalgams do you see in the La Sportiva Line that I could size off of.

(we carry the Mythos, Solutions, Katana XS and Katana Laces)

i wear the same size tc and mythos, but could probably go half size lower on the mythos. i wear a half to full size bigger in a sportiva hiking boot. hope that helps

+1 for same size as mythos (but my mythos are sized for all day wear, including walk-offs and such, so keep that in mind). TC Pros are also the same size I used to wear in the Kaukulators, if you ever had a pair of those that might help.

Half size larger than my katana velcros worked for me. My feet measure 9.5 US, wear 40.5 EU katana, 41 tc pro's.

btw On a whim I tried on some katana laces the other day. Was it a fluke, or does it seem like going a half size larger than your katana velcro size works for those too ?

You won't know until you try them on. I go 1.5 size larger in TCpros than Mythos. Incidentally, I have a pair of 43 TCpros for sale. Too big for me. They stretched more than I expected. Am now in 42s.

Also wear the same size in Mythos and TC Pro (40.5). I should probably be wearing a size 40 in the Mythos. Hopefully when you order you will have free return shipping since there is a good possibility the first pair you get won't be right.

I wear the same size for my katanas (velcro), barracudas, and mythos as my TC Pros. I thought that size on the TC Pros felt a bit tight at first and they took a while to stretch a bit, but now they are pretty comfortable.

I wear 12USM street shoe, 44 Muira, and 44 tc pro. I've got fairly odd shaped feet, but the more radical assymetry in the Muira has my toes comfortably down-turned while the more symmetrical tc pros had my toes barely bent until they stretched.

Definitely go for size down from street. Too big and they edge terribly, too small and and your toes will be in pain during those thin hands despite the padding.

I'm not sure if you do many cracks in the way of fingers, but if you do the toe box is way too big for that. Still my favorite trad shoe by far.

42 TC Pros fit like 41.5 Mythos for me.

Same experience as RHYANG......9.5 US Street, 40.5 Katana, 41 TC Pro. Get 'em and no regrets.

One more datum point: I have size 13 feet and ended up with size 46 TC Pro's. Not a lot of mileage on them but I can wear them all day and they still feel technical. The 45.5's hurt just putting them on trying to stand in them.

I sized my TC Pros the same size as my "comfy" Mythos. Initially, they were a tad snug. Now, after a gob of pitches, they are sweet.

I'm a street shoe 12, Mythos 44 tight, 44.5 comfy, TC Pro 44.5.

Fairly wide feet and I don't size my shoes to be super tight anymore, just snug.

I got the TC pros in the same size as my solutions. The solutions are pretty tight and the same size TC pros are comfy.

TC Pro: 39 - All day Fit. They were painful at first but stretch a good amount.
Miura 38.5 - Average Tightness can Multipitch but take off at some belays
Katana Lace 38.5 - Good for single pitch climbing slighly smaller fit than Katana Velcro

Katana Velcro 38.5 - Comfy
Katana Velcro 38 - Tight fit (bouldering)

The title of this dead thread is too perfect for me not to revive it, as opposed to starting another. So...

I'm sizing TC Pros right now, and I'm deciding between a 42 and 42.5. I wear a 9 street, 42 in LS Nepals, and a 41.5 in Katana Laces (slight toe curl, a bit too tight for a true all day fit, but I can make it).

In the TC Pros, I want a flat toed fit for cracks and all day comfort, but the problem is, since the toe box is so structured, I can't tell if my toes are actually flat. In the 42.5, I can move my toes up and down in the toe box; is this too big? In the 42, I can wear them around the house all day without discomfort, but my feet kind of go to sleep when I prop them up.

General thoughts?

I went a half size bigger than my katanas (velcro) and they are perfect for all-day wear. My katanas were good for about 1 hour before they hurt. First couple days in the pros they are pretty tight but once they break in they are absolutely perfect. comfort and precision perfectly balanaced IMO

42.5 for my TC's Im between a 9.5/10 street shoe size and for me I want my dogs to be comfortable , same for my Muras, although I do have a pair of Muras that are size 9

The TC climbs very nice BUT.....

I wont ever buy another pair of TC's because they fall apart way too quickly for a 180 dollar shoe esp the side rubber band crap ,started peeling the firs day out took them back and had the store contact sportiva about it and was told to just glue em.

Yea they climb great but that peeling rubber just chaps my ass every time I look down at my feet.

I agree they do seem to fall apart easily. I returned a pair I bought through EMS using EMS's no-questions return policy after they ripped near the pull-tabs. I'd recommend buying the shoes through EMS or REI or someone else who offers unconditional returns.

I wear a 42.5 Katana Lace that is tight (curled toes, single pitch sport). I found the 43.5 TC Pro was too big. I ended up with the 43 which has been a good balance of edging, jamming, and comfort. They are more comfortable and edge better than my old 43 barracudas.

I'm going to revive this once again to keep the searches clean.

I'm fairly certain I'll be purchasing TC Pros, just need some help with sizing. I've done a lot of internet research regarding sizing, but everybody seems (logically) to compare TC Pros to other LaSportiva models. The only LaSportiva shoes I've ever worn are Nepal Evos (44.5).

I have a wide foot, wear a 10-10.5 street shoe. I'm most familiar with five ten sizing.

Can anybody compare TC Pro sizing to say... Moccasyms (I wear 9.5) or Galileos (I wear a 10)?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
