I got some in '94 (I was 5). I think they're called Enduros.

They fell apart in like 5 different ways, enjoy them while you can.

Awesome! They're stiff as a board. A buddy gave them to me, never been used. Pretty stoked on em.

I had some as recently as 2000 or 2001. I actually broke the board in them. I broke the board in Mega's too. They both have a board that seems to be made of crumbled leather and glue. It disintegrates.

Old rubber is not sticky
and the old glue holding the soles on will fail very soon.

anybody know the differences between these and Kaukulators?

yeah, the shoes look new, but the glue is dam old that holds them together,,,it will crumble quickly I bet, especially with sweat in shoes and heat of the day.

La Sprortiva Enduros, circa early- late 90s. They were an entry-level all around shoe. Board lasted--great for slabs and crack climbing. Their sticky rubber was/is fine. I climbed in their big brothers--Kaukulators for years until they finally fell apart.

The Kaukulator was a fundamentally different shoe. It was only comparable in that they were both high top.

I've got 5 pairs in tan, picked them up from an old tour guide person (practically brand new).  They are awesomely stiff, did not experience all of your issues.  All five pairs have lasted one full season or so, no crumbles and good rubber.  Getting all of them resoled soon.  Love them!  Climbing on the Moon!  Mine have a picture of a cow climbing the moon.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
