L-Buttress is located in one of the more secluded locations in Blue Mounds, the Mini Fortress Area. Some of the advantages of this piece of rock include shade, lack of people (if you're into that), good anchors at the top, good top/bottom access, and a flat, dirt bottom that accommodates a sling-shot belayer well due to the absence of plant life overgrowth. It contains some fun climbs for the intermediate climber.
Coming from the Prairie Walls cliff line, stick to the trail going north for a about a quarter mile (guess.) The woods will open up for a bit. After you get back into the woods again, you're there.
