Anyone have any suggestions for kid friendly climbing both in terms of the grade and the approach. Kids are fairly young (6 and 9) and have never climbed outside before. Not trying to do any tough tyrolleans or sketchy approaches.

Thanks in advance!

Might help to know where you are.

In BoCan, the Boulderado or the right side of the Riviera. Both will be pretty hot.

In CCC, maybe East Colfax? I haven't climbed there, but I think it gets a little morning shade.

East Colfax would be the best choice if you are willing to drive a bit.

Nip and Tuck (I forget which is which) up BoCan has an easy approach and bolted toprope anchors. It tends to get used a lot by people teaching and guiding groups so be prepared to not get your spot. There's also a 5.7 on the other one that would have to be climbed before toproping. Approach is ~2 minutes and no cliffs to fall off of.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
