Katana Lace vs. Miura Lace Sizing

Hey all,

I want to get into some Katana laces while my Muira's are getting resoled but Im not sure what size to order. I like the idea of the Katana. Seems like a stiffer Miura that would be pretty sick for harder trad and more vertical limestone (where the Miura excels when it gets steeper).

I got a pair of Miura Lace's last summer that were a 40.5 and at first they were super tight but awesome. They have gradually formed to my feet and are looser, but not sloppy (I can still heel hook and I still like the fit). Im trying to figure out if I should get a Katana in a 40.5 or size up slightly so my toes have more room for thin cracks. I definitely prefer a tighter fit with less slop in the heel.

Thanks for any info you guys have. And if anyone has a pair of Katana laces size 40.5 or 41, let me know!

Taylor -

I wear 41.5 in Muira Lace, and 41 in Katana Lace.

I have a pair of Katana Lace 41 if you want a pair. They need to be re-soled. I bought them mid fall last year. No rand damage as I stopped climbing in them before that would happen, just needs new rubber.

Both are awesome shoes. I love mine for aggressive eldo and Yosemite routes

Thanks WMC. I ordered up a fresh pair a few days back, hope they work out. They're kinda hard to come by in shops even though we have three in town...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
