Description Suggest change

Kahakuloa Head is the impressive 636 ft. pyramid of rock over looking the village of Kahakuloa. From the parking area hike north through the cattle stop and down the grassy hill. Follow the faint path that leads left and up the hill to a point were 3rd class scrambling leads over and between several large rocks. Continue following the path of least resistance, which occasionally requires use of hands to negotiate loose rocky areas and dense vegetation. As the angle lessens on the shoulder the final 100 yards to the top requires bushwacking through tall grass and brush to the summit.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive east on Hwy 30, then Hwy 340 a turn out just past mile marker 14. Kahakuloa Head is the high point to the north.
