My backyard wall at night circa 11-19-12

Hey all, new to the forum. Been in the process of building a backyard wall for a while. Always expanding it, wanted to see what the world thought of it.
Any ideas or critiques are very welcome. Sorry to link to YouTube, I'll get more in depth pictures and such when i get home if someone wants to see more. Have also added in a 35 negative at the top right (open space in the video). And also currently undertaking building a large crag from concrete.
I'll document how to do that if anyone is interested.
Got a few other videos on the channel if you want to dig around. Thanks guys

I've helped build 3 garage style walls now.
In my opinion, you have a ton of sq. footage, but too much easy vertical stuff.
On every wall I've been a part of building, the 45 degree+ and horizontal walls become the favorites. Anything close to vertical becomes boring unless you like setting thin routes.

This one was my favorite, as the framing was all included!
We ended up adding a 45 wall to the left of the door. Also added dummy clips for lead practice. We had several hand made pockets that would accept tri-cams, and would place 00 cams in the deck board cracks. In the end we had a 35-40 foot loop that was almost entirely horizontal. Holds were a mix of hand made hardwood and gym holds. I made mounting plates with 2-3 T-nuts so routes could be changed up.
Unfortunately, the house burned down in the Four mile fire. The only thing left was a few biners!

You hit the nail on the head, man. I've actually added a 42 up top and switch the bottom 20 out to near 45. I'll go grab some pictures for you guys in a second. Also thinking about adding some pyramids and such on flat spots. I'm hoping my crag work is what puts it over the top. In the video you see a half finished short crag, I've added in a boulder, finished that small crag, and undertook building a crag that runs the whole wall. Pictures in a bit

Edit: that Under deck route was bad ass man. Hate to hear it went with the fire.

Thanks man, it was a bummer, but that's life...

I got pretty strong with that wall, it was fun being able to do 35+ feet of horizontal at 200+ lbs! So out of shape now, I wish I had an area to build another.

Sounds like a great build, you are lucky to have so much space. Gotta charge usage from buddies; 1 new hold per session!

The name of our wall was the NFCAG (no fat chicks allowed gym), shortened to 'the Nag'. It was not fat friendly...

Got a few new pictures. Firstly, the wall at night from a few nights ago...

And then, my crag and boulder work. Me and my pops used to build waterfalls for a living. My dad learned rock smithing from a guy who worked on Magic Mountain in Disney, no joke. Going to make a separate post in a while to show how to do the basics in rock building.

And my new slants, lower and upper east...

And finally, a couple of shots of some mesh work, soon to be a boulder and crag.

Alright guys, Thats it for picture time, methinks. It's Thanksgiving, I'm just going to sit here in a robe all day.

Yeah man, I'm sitting at 185 and working that box is a killer for me. Got a few squirrel friends who blow it up. Ours goes by many names, from The Wall(creative) to Rock Wahlberg. It's real name is The Neverhood, but it cant be called that until I get it closed in all the way, with only one archway entry. And i gotta source a lot more telephone poles for that...
