I would gladly do it again, not so much for the quality of the climbing moves or the rock, but just to be out on that long ridge. But I won't be around there available any time soon.
Unusual for July, might still be some snow on the route this year -- which could change things.
Many of the sections are protected and/or Aided by steel cables (if you bring a Via Ferrata kit, you can clip to them).
I guess that roped climbing with a partner would be important if doing the Jubilaeumsgrat in the winter. I didn't notice anyone roping up when I did it -- or even carrying a rope (but maybe someone had a rope stashed in their pack).
Key risk is that a rock hold might break off. In that case you might have wished you were roped up (or at least clipped in to some steel cable with a VF kit -- but some exposed sections do not have cables).
Speed is an issue -- don't want to be caught still out on that ridge when weather starts to hit (or attached to a steel cable in case of lightning). So there's a trade-off between roping up versus speed/safety -- and a trade-off with having a potentially slower partner (even without roping together).
