J-Tree Cleanup and Climber Reception
Join the American Alpine Club Southwest Section for this spring's Joshua Tree Cleanup and Climber reception featuring a free presentation by professional climber Matt Segal!
We will be meeting at 8:00am at Climber's Coffee in Hidden Valley Campground in Joshua Tree National Park for free coffee and a free volunteer breakfast. At 9:30 come get your hands dirty as we move to the Hall of Horrors to do some restoration work with the National Park Service. We'll finish up with plenty of time to pull on the rock!
Finally, join us once again at 6:00pm for our evening climbers reception with FREE pizza from Pie for the People, a FREE raffle, and a FREE slideshow by Matt Segal! The evening event is taking place at Furstworld Studio, 8528 Desert Shadows Rd., Joshua Tree, CA.
If you come to volunteer you can get a free pass into the park on March 30th! We will also have limited free camping in Joshua Tree for the weekend! To inquire about both, please contact SWS Section Co-Chair Jim Pinter-Lucke (email@example.com) and he can make sure your spot is reserved!
