All...don't have my climbing gear and I'm looking for a good moderate hike in the park for the morning half. Multiple suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance and happy holidays.
The south Astrodome is an awesome hike. 200 yards past the Barker dam lot is another turnoff to the north with a bathroom. Follow the the trail till you see Uncle Willies health foodstore then follow the wash north into the Wonderland of Rocks till you see the Astrodomes. Find your way around the north end of the north Astrodome (some serious routefinding/boulderhopping here) and follow it around till you see the "talus field" that you follow up between the domes. Bear right around the hidden grotto to the top. After descending the dome I like to cut thru to next valley to the west and head south to Barker dam and out the trail. Possible to do in 2-3 hours, if you've never been there it'll prolly take 4-5
