Hello,

I am working on putting together a trip to Josh in March. Here is what I am looking for:

- Quality 5.10 to 5.13's (with emphasis on 5.11/12) that are close together so I can climb a bunch in a day.

- Decent protection. Bolts are nice, though I am comfortable on 12 gear routes. Enjoy run-outs, but prefer to less of that on a trip. Mixed gear routes seem likely.

- Enjoy cracks, crimps, face, jugs - really anything. Sustained and long are preferable.

- I have 2 weeks. And hope to surf on rest days.

Thank you. I appreciate any and all info/advice/ helpful trip beta.

March isn't the best month for surfing in JT.

A guidebook would greatly help you narrow it down. The local climbing store, Nomad Ventures in the town of Joshua Tree, has them.

CCliffe...... off the top of my head, this short list might keep you entertained.

Same parking area for Split Rock and Future Games Rock.
At Future Games:

Bendix claws

At Split Rock:

On Sports Challenge:

At Echo T

Please note: Long and Josh don't really go together.... you can get "hard" but not long hard.

enjoy your trip.
