I am an American solo traveling climber. I have a T3 VW bus outfitted and am currently in the Swiss Alps. I have room for one other climber to sleep in the bus, two more in a tent (4 total including me).

I want to focus on granite and gneiss trad multipitch and bolted sport single/multi too, in CH and FR until the cold comes in mid Sept. After, either the Mediterranean or Balkans. I have plenty of sport experience but limited trad (yet a full rack of nuts and cams on hand).

I've spent a lot of money on this Bus and my trip. My goals are climbing. NOT cafe's, town strolls, gelati, shopping, etc. I wait out the rain beside the crag for a chance to climb patiently, not waste fuel running from boredom. I sleep on layby's or wherever the campervan life suits me. Free. I don't pay another man to sleep in my own van, so I don't do campgrounds. Those who have this goal who can share fuel and stick with climbing focused living, please join me for as long as you like.

Email me.

Think you'd be interested in Spain mid-September? I would love to get to Rodellar but am worried about finiding lodging because it's the high season. I'll be in Mallorca early September.

Sarah,

Boulder, eh? I lived in Denver a while before I split the USA.

I may go to Rodellar. Deciding.

I am in CH alps now doing Rifflehorn and Jagihorn climbs near Zermatt, then Mont Blanc, likely until mid sept when the snow comes. Not into cold rock. Dates uncertain. I'm mostly looking for someone into sharing the Van and fuel/ins expenses for a longer haul (month or more)., but flexible really. Yes, I build this Van for exactly the reasons you've detailed: high season or not, I park and sleep where I please, free.

I've already been through the Dolomites, so I will be deciding whether to head to Rodellar, Ceuse, Finale Ligure, Orca, etc for the great warm/fall Mediterranean classics, or straight to the Balkans for Croatia, Romania, and Bulgaria as the sport limestone is epic there and the Petzl rock trip will be there this fall!

Thinking strongly of heading from the Alps to Romania first week sept to begin the Petzl rock trip in Romania and into Bulgaria w them until Sept 24th when I'd head for Croatian crags. Anyone into that?

Decided to definitely head from Ceuse at present to the balkans (Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia) for sport climbing. Interested folks wanting to join me email.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
