I'm moving to salt lake at the end of this week and I need to start looking for a job. I would hope that I can find something that's outdoor/ climbing related, rei, momentum, stuff like that. If anyone has any info on places that are hiring that would be very helpful. Even if it's not outdoor related, any info on coffee shops, restaurants, or other things that are hiring would be great. Thanks!

Momentum has summer camps they are hiring for. I'm sure it's seasonal but might lead to a full time job.

The job market in SLC is very strong right now. If you can't find SOME kind of job you aren't looking very hard.

I like many moving to Utah got a job with Backcountry.com. It seems like they are usually hiring for customer service. Gear and ski pass discounts are a plus. And you will be immediately surrounded by like minded people.

I see that BD may be looking for someone in the retail shop-ass't manager.

Their manufacturing facility is always hiring (..but, there are reasons for that..

I think that current unemployment rate in SLC is below 4%-like someone else said, if you can't find a job there, you ain't tryin'.

I'm not sure what your background or age is, or how long you want to stay in the SLUT. I work for UTA, I wont go into specifics. However they are currently hiring, mostly for bus operators. Great benefits, pay is liveable. If you do decide to try bus side, be aware, you will be an extra board operator for a couple of years. The extra board guys work a 12 hour window which means you will probably have split shifts. There are a ton of other opportunities with UTA, not just "Operations". Food for thought anyway.

Good luck! Uta Job Board
