Access Issue: RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek
Details
WET ROCK: Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN MOAB during or after rain.
RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring.
RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring.
Description
Nice sport and crack routes on stone that is a little different than Gauntlet. Stays shady longer into the morning except for Fresh Start
Getting There
Where the arroyo meets the rim, look for a trail going left about 100 yards. "Fresh Start" is the easiest route to identify but you won't see it until after you've gone a bit beyond it. So keep looking over and behind where foot traffic fades away. Possible to rap/TR Fresh Start, but easier to rap from the dedicated anchor on the ledge above Funemployment. Be very careful climbing down to this ledge! Also possible to scramble down one of the nearest crevasses but slippery when there's snow/ice down there.
