Jackson, WY - housing/climbing buddies!

Hey everyone!

I will be moving to Jackson, WY for the summer for a seasonal fisheries job and was wondering if anybody knows of anyone that lives there and has a room/sideyard/tent space that a friendly climber could use for the months of April - Sept.

On a side note, it would be awesome to find some people to hang and climb with as well!

Craigslist hasnt given me too much to work with for housing in Jackson, I was hoping to find like-minded people on here instead!

Thanks,

Michael

Awesome, I might be looking for a place as well. Not totally decided yet though... classifieds.jacksonholeradi… is the craigslist of the Jackson area. Good luck, housing is hard to find in this town, especially for the summer.

Available to climb weekends & nights after work. Housing is hard to find, look here too:

You may want to try reaching out to some of the following shops / gyms in your search for a place to stay. These places may allow you to send them a note to put up on a bulletin board...or have employees that are also looking.

1. Enclosure Rock Climbing Gym: (307) 734-9155
2. Teton Mountaineering: (307) 733-3595
3. Skinny Skis: (307) 733-6094
4. Headwall Sports: (307) 734-8022

Also, you may want to check in with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. I know that they are currently building some new dorm style employee housing on Powderhorn Lane (right behind Kmart). My guess it might be ready to go for the summer. I'm not certain on their rules of renting, but I would imagine that there is more of a demand for JMRH employee housing in the winter months as opposed to the summer months (but they may be looking to put heads in beds in the summer). It might be worth a try.

You might be able to find a place on airb&b, but this might be a bit more than you'd want to pay.

Last but certainly not least...the climber's ranch (June 1 - September 30) (307) 733-7271.

Hey, I also might be looking for a place for June-August, and would love to live with a fellow climber! If you're looking for someone to share the rent with I'd be down. I'm not 100% for sure going to be living there but I'll know by the end of next week.

I'll be working in the park this summer. PM me if you're lookin' for someone to climb with. Not sure when my weekends will be yet.

Hey!

No tips for a place to stay (sorry!), but I'll be back in Jackson this summer doing field work(starting in late May) and would definitely love to get out and climb. If my schedule is the same as last summer, I'll have weekends off, and I'd also be up for after-work climbing at the gym or at Rodeo Wall or someplace close to town.

I'm heading out to Jackson for a summer job as well. I'll be busy for the whole job, but I'm done Aug. 8th and I'd love to be able to stay and climb to make the most of my ticket out there instead of going home early. I won't have a car or housing though, but if anyone wants to go camp and climb from Aug. 8th to the end of August, let me know and I'll make my return flight later if we can figure something out.

Hey what's up dude! I will keep you in mind if I hear of any rooms for rent this summer. I am looking for a climbing partner to get after it this summer! My days off are Tues, Wed, Thurs and I am trying to explore all of the rock around the state and elsewhere. I work at 4 pm every night, so I would be able to crag it up during those days. But I am mostly looking for a partner to go on camping/climbing trips this summer. Let me know if this would work with you.
