Access Issue: Access issue - Monastery, Cedar Park, Combat Rock, etc. - open since 2023
Details
Update: per Bruce Hildenbrand: the area has been open since 2023.
Per JF M: as of May 2022, there is no signage on-site, nor information on the USFS webpage for the Cameron Peak Fire (nor on their published map of closures) that indicates the area is closed.
Per Bruce Hildenbrand: it appears that the Forest Service has closed access to all the climbing areas accessed via Storm Mountain Road (Monastery, Cedar Park, Combat Rock, etc.) until they can clear all the dangerous dead trees from the Cameron Peak fire.
I worked this issue with Eric Murdock at the AF, and it looks like the Forest Service picked Devil's Gulch Road as the southern boundary even though all the climbing areas on MP.com were not burned.

Description
The right most of three short crags on the south facing hill side. Could be a good place in the winter since it is in full sun. Ivy Right is a 60 foot whale back slab 40 feet right of Ivy Center. It has a horizontal crack on the left side and an arching crack on the right, both about 15 feet up from the ground. There is also a vertical crack on the right that begins 20 feet up or so. It could be done as a route.
Getting There
About 5.5 miles west of the Beige Siphon Tube in the narrows at the paved parking area across from Idlewild Dam. Same parking as for Becker, Nancy's Rock. Take the steep dirt trail from the west end of the parking lot and head for a pine tree on the left, then to a telephone pole back right, then to a short rock face up and right, then to another pine tree on the right. Ivy League should be 100 feet uphill in front of you. This path is not direct, it does avoid the massive posion ivy on the hill.
