I need to watch more T.V. I guess. The Coelacanth is mentioned in "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" as the cause for the extinction of the Dodo. Maybe the VW ad writers were referencing Douglas Adams... I'll just go back to my nerd hole now. I hope whoever it is gets their hat back.
