No, at least a half dozen last year models of ice tools have to be sold, mostly in new condition. Then some assorted crampons and ice screws need to change hands. By then, Lincoln will have a thin thread of ice good enough for a margarita on the rocks.

John, are you for real or are you being sarcastic?

I would like to go check it out but it is about a 2 and a half hour drive from gunny so I don't want to be disappointed.

Hey Matt...John lives in Bermuda, so yeah I'd say he's being sarcastic.

Plus he's sarcastic!

Can somebody friggin' drive up there for me and check it out already. I am tired of looking on-line to find out what's in, I don't wanna have to actually go look for ice. Somebody should be doing the looking for me.

If you watch the weather you'll know better. Or wait until someone posts. If it's in, we'll post a "neiner neiner I climbed ice and you didn't" post.

I'm pretty sure you've got a couple weeks at best still. It's been a dry October overall.

Obviously you didn't get the fact that I was joking...But thank you anyway Chris.

Tits I got that you were joking. The message was to the OP (who I think has asked 2-3 times if Lincoln is in??)

Thanks for clarifying Chris. Is it in now?

John you just ruined my weekend.

I was pretty psyched when I saw that. I think we are planning on checking out some stuff in the Elks, there is always a chance. But worst thing that happens is a beautiful hike near crested butte, can't complain about that. Went to the san juan area last week outside of lake city and it was BONE DRY.

I went there today and it's pretty much a waste of time. The Scottish Gully is IN, sorta but not much else. Then I drove to Vail and back and did not see anything at all. No ice. So,had a nice afternoon walking up Quandry. It's looking pretty dry out there, pilgrims.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
