Hey I just heard about the Cherokee Bluffs outside of Knoxville. Some people say its open some say its closed. Has anybody been there recently or have any up to date information about it?

Thanks a lot.

Its been forever since I've been there, but last I heard it was closed. I'm sure you could take a chance and try, but the place is barely worth a visit to risk a ticket or arrest. I know its not convenient but the drive to the Obed is worth the cost of climbing time vs driving time for that amazing sandstone!

Yeah its a bummer but the Bluffs are closed. I think they have been closed for easily 5+ years. I climbed there in around 2003/2004, it was pretty cool. I believe the property was bought and developed into a subdivision. I drove there last year and there is a huge house where I remember the entrance trail being..

Someone (non-climber) fell and got injured there so land owner called it quits on the access about 3-4 years ago
