Fair Head, one of the better crags in the country

Description

Full Disclosure: This area is a destination spot for me. I personally have never climbed in Ireland, but know that there are many spots with great rock available for climbing. I hope not to offend local climbers and will certainly secede the future of this area to those who know more than me. My only hope is to get the ball rolling in gathering more information about the climbing potential of this great country.

Some of the top resources I've used to at least begin filling in areas are located at the following sites:

Irish Climbing Online
Climbing in Ireland
Irish Climbing Online Wiki
Colmcille Climbers Homepage

I have divided this area into counties as was done on the Irish Climbing Wiki and seemed like the most logical layout.

Getting There

From the states you'll take a boat or a plane across the Atlantic Ocean and make your way to some of these great spots.

Talking to locals is highly encouraged.
