Description

A very traditional climbing area with lots of beginner routes but also some good harder climbs. Good quality volcanic rock, though some popular routes have been polished by generations of nailed boots. The major cliffs are mainly N or W facing.

Getting There

Park on the A5 near Ogwen Cottage and follow the well-made path up to the lake (Llyn Idwal).
