Description

This impressive limestone crag is situated just west on the village of Stoney Middleton. It lies on the North side of the A623. The majority of its walls face south and dry our quickly after rain, and in general this crag is fairly well sheltered.

The busy road below can be distracting, but in general the climbing is too good for the noise of traffic to bother you.

There are great climbs for all grades here. Perhaps the best section of the crag is Windy Buttress with its high concentration of classic routes.

Getting There

From the Village of Carver, head West on the A623. You soon drive into the village of Stoney Middleton, drive through here and shortly after exiting the village you'll see the crag on the right. Park up close to your chosen buttress and start to climb.
