Description

Curbar Edge although just south from Froggatt Edge, has a completely different atmosphere. The crowds are left behind and the climbs all have more of the adventure feel.

Many of the climbs are on steep isolated buttresses, with a good concentration located in the southern most part of the edge. The most impressive area is that near the Eliminates Wall, which plays hosts to some of the biggest and boldest lines.

Getting There

To reach the northern portions of the edge, it is easiest to walk south from Froggatt Edge along the edge and drop down to the first sections of rock.

For the Southern area, where many of the best climbs are, park to the south of the edge and make the short (1/2 mile walk to the edge). To reach the parking lot, drive East from the village of Curbar, towards Curbar Gap, and park up at the obvious parking lot on the left.
