BETA PHOTO: Overview of The Roaches

Description

The main part of this is a big piece for grit, while most routes are 1 pitch long there are some traditional 2 pitch routes here. It's a wonderful spot, a real climber's Mecca. Classics here include Saul's Crack, Black and Tans, and The Sloth.

There are some good boulder problems here too.

Getting There

Hike up the muddy trail then left past the Don Whillans Memorial Hut, then right through the trees past the Lower Tier on the right and, with stomach churning, up the steps to arrive at the right margin of the Upper Tier.
