Description

Powell River offers excellent climbing. Everything from bouldering, sport, and trad. The Eldred Valley has enough rock to easily rival Squamish. The Climbers Guide to Powell River is available at MEC and at the following locations in Powell RIver: Breakwater Books, Powell River Outdoors, and Powell River Tourist Info Center.

Getting There

From Vancouver, take 2 ferries, starting from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, then drive the sunshine coast and hop on another ferry from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay. Keep in mind the second ferry is free. The total time for the trip is around 3-4 hours.

From Vancouver Island, take the ferry from Comox to Powell River. The ferry is an hour and a half.
